One of the leading figures on the world's wine stage and at the forefront of Italy’s wine revolution, Marchese Piero Antinori is renowned for his commitment to innovation.

Born in Florence in 1938, he spent most weekends and summers at the family’s vineyards, developing a passion for wine-making which continues unbridled today. Back in the 1960s, Piero was one of the first producers in Tuscany to experiment with new grape varieties and blends. The result was the production of his now world-famous Tignanello, at the time of the revolution in Italian winemaking, and was one of the very first Super Tuscan wines to be produced. Now, together with his brother, Lodovico, he is investing that same passion and desire for change and innovation in their new project, Tenuta di Biserno.
